The title speaks for itself. Finally after 67 days, jake is home! As for the arrival.... Jake was supposed to arrive at about 10pm - I had my day totally mapped out.... work, gym, shave (god I don't even want to know when the last time I shaved was), get my nails and eyebrows done...the usual. I get to work that morning, make a nail appointment and settle into the idea that I have a couple of hours after work to primp before I have to go pick him up.
Whelp, that shit the bed when I got a phone call from jake saying he got an earlier flight that is arriving at 440 (mind you, I work till 5). I was thrilled but of course asshole me, the first thing that came out of my mouth was, oh nooo I had an appointment to get my nails done - i'm such a bitch haha. Oh and of course it would be just my luck that I was wearing sneakers and sweats to work that day.
Time went by soo slowly, I was watching the minutes go by. Being the anal retentive girlfriend that I am, about 15 minutes before I was planning on leaving work to go pick him up I decided to look up his flight just to make sure that his flight was arriving on time. Not only was his flight on time - it was early! First, the genius that my boyfriend is said his flight was arriving at 4:30 when really it was scheduled to arrive at 4:20 but was scheduled to arrive at 4:05. at this point I was sweating bullets and peaced out of work....didn't get very far when I sat in stand still traffic for a solid 20 minutes. Finally after all that chaos, Jake was home!! yay!
we are in the process of moving - kill me. I have boxes everywhere....my house is a disaster. jake is finally moved out of his old place. I hate moving and everything that comes with it....well I can't really complain since he did absolutely everything. Jake just left today for his reserve weekend...he comes back sunday night and then leaves for Florida on Monday to see his family. I'm meeting him down there next Friday and then we fly out to Reno to see his grandfather. can't wait for this vacation! I'm kinda nervous since i'm pretty much meeting his entire family and I feel like I need to impress them.
ugh...it sucks not having him here. I guess the only upside is that I can focus on school which I have definitely put on the back burner recently.
